Bill Allen drives his 2004 Lightning in the Hot Rod Class for Roadkill Racing. Bill was Team Roadkill's top driver for the 2007 season, finishing in 13th place in the Hot Rod class and winning trophies at the last 2 races of the year. Bills Lightning is deadly consistent and his reaction times improved dramatically in 2007. The combination made Bill a tough competitor for the other racers in the Hot Rod class.

The Lightning has seen only minor modifications, but still runs low to mid 14 second E.T's with a current best of 14.175 seconds. This truck is driven daily, and probably sees more time on the street than any other Team Roadkill vehicle. The factory supercharger is the only power adder on the vehicle.
The only modifications to the truck are the addition of a cold air intake and a supercharger drive pulley that increased the boost about two pounds. Other modifications are in the works, including some sticky rear tires to help with traction.

Bill is a die hard Ford guy who also owns an award winning 1970 Torino GT. The Torino has been outfitted with a 428 CI engine and Ford top loader 4-speed transmission. The Torino has also been on the race track but, due to the monster torque 428, traction problems limited it's performance. Bill intends to get some drag radials for the Torino and run it in select races in the 2008 season.
